In 1998 the company West Wind was founded by partners and two partners of the Lohmann Group. Since 1998 the West Wind Group has been planning, building and selling wind farms and solar parks to energy supply companies and institutional investors. Nationally, more than 400 wind turbines, 15 solar parks and 5 transformer stations with an investment volume of more than 650 million Euros have been built so far. Internationally, wind parks with more than 1,550 wind power turbines have been planned in Australia, Turkey and Poland. These projects have been sold to institutional investors.
